today me and my mom decided to make a yummy sweet treat so I looked in my recipe book the golden book of baking and found a recipe for brownies that are delicious and what i needed to make them were

2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup of butter
4 oz of dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/3 coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)

instructions
preheat the oven to 350F (180C/gas 4)
butter a deep 8 inch (20cm) square baking pan
combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler over barely simmering water
remove from the heat and stir in the sugar
set aside to cool slightly
add the eggs, beating until just blended
mix in the dry ingredients, vanilla, and walnuts until well blended
pour the mixture into the prepared pan
bake for 35 -40 minutes, or until dry on top and almost firm to the touch
do not over bake

then I decided to make them into a pop so we got Wilson fondant and decorated them with the red as the base and I made a flower on the top and put a sprinkle in the middle then we put a stick on the bottom and voila we had our brownie pop

here is some pics of our final result

amazing oatmeal cookies

Today I decided i needed a nice cookie for a snack, but not any cookie I wanted a soft fresh out of the oven oatmeal cookie so I made them and all i needed was ....

1cup of butter,melted

3/4cup of sugar

1tsp baking soda

1cup of flour

2 cups of oatmeal

1egg yolk

and how I made themis first i a seperate bowl i mixed the sugar, baking soda, and flour 7all together. Then with a electic mixer mix the melted butter and egg yolk(to get the egg yolk you crack the shell in half but keep both and pass the egg yolk back and forth on both sides of the shell till all of the whites are all gone) speed.then i mimxed in the dry ingrediants and mixed it on medium/high speed till nice and smooth after you will mix in the oatmeal one cup at a time if it lookes like oatmeal crumbs you will have to mix it together with your hands. After, you roll into balls and flaten them with a fork and cook at 350* for 10to15min it made me 13bakers dozen but it depends on how big you make the cookie

chocolate dipped oreo cookies

You will need
A spatula
A pot of water
A bowl
Chocolate chips for melting
White chocolate chips for melting
a box of oreo cookies
Wednesday march 16th
me and my zia decided to make chocolate dipped Oreo cookies, so we got a pot of water and put it over the stove at volume 4 then with the milk chocolate flat chips we put them in a different bowl and placed it over the one with the water (make sure that the butt end of the bowl is in the pot and the rims of it is holding it up on the pot). Once the chocolate is melting turn the heat of the stove to LOW and start stirring it with a spatula. Once all the chocolate is melted turn off the stove and start dipping the Oreo cookies in it, then place the cookies on a long piece of parchment paper to dry. Once all the chocolate is gone do the same steps for white chocolate chips, but when the white chocolate chips are melted dip the end of the spatula in it and drizzle it over the cookies.YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DELICIOUS

CANDY STICKS

Today I experimented with sugar with my nonna. We tried to make fondant, but we over cooked the sugar. So we since the sugar was cooked to the the hard ball point , we decided to make candy. We worked the sugar till it was white. Then we molded it around a long skewers , forming long candy sticks. YUM!!!!!!!!!
